Weather advisory issued for:
Southern Niagara Region, Ont. (046720)
Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect for Friday, March 10, 2023.
Hazards:
Snow with total accumulations of 10 to 15 cm.
Visibility may be reduced at times in snow and local blowing snow.
Timing:
Beginning Friday morning and tapering off late Friday evening.
Discussion:
Widespread snow will push across southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe on Friday. The evening commute will be greatly affected by this snowfall.
Some uncertainty remains in total snowfall amounts. Upgrades to snowfall warnings may be required in some areas.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
