Winter storm watch in effect for:
- Niagara Falls - Welland - Southern Niagara Region
- St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region
Winter storm possible for Wednesday Feb 2 through Friday Feb 4, 2022.
Hazards:
Snow, heavy at times.
Total snowfall accumulations of 20 to 30 cm expected by Friday.
Reduced visibilities due to heavy snow and local blowing snow.
Timing:
Wednesday afternoon through Friday morning.
Discussion:
Rain showers beginning tonight will change to snow Wednesday afternoon. Areas near Lake Erie will see rain showers change to snow Wednesday evening. Snow is expected to taper Friday.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
