Wind warning issued for:
Niagara, Ont. (046700)
Current details:
Very strong winds are expected Sunday March 6, 2022.
Hazard:
Very strong wind gusts to 100 km/h. Localized gusts in excess of 110 km/h are possible.
Widespread power outages may occur.
Timing:
Sunday March 6th, 2022 for the morning and afternoon.
Discussion:
Strong southwest winds will develop Sunday morning or early afternoon ahead of a cold front moving through southern Ontario. Isolated thunderstorms are possible along this cold front, which may bring localized wind gusts in excess of 110 km/h. Winds will gradually ease on Sunday evening.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
