Water main break at Line Ave and Quaker Rd

UPDATE (Sept. 23) - On Sept. 22, crews installed a new valve at the intersection of Pelham Street and Quaker Road. This allowed for the isolation of the properties on Pelham Street (specifically Woodlands of Sunset). The repair will require a shut-down of the water main on Quaker Road between Pelham Street and Line Ave. beginning this evening at 6 p.m.  Notifications have been made to affected residents and businesses.

Sept. 22 - Please be advised of a water main break at the intersection of Line Ave and Quaker Road.

Town Operations staff are preparing to make the repairs. To complete the repair, water service will be shut off to several properties south of Quaker on Pelham Street and to properties on Quaker between Pelham Street and Line Ave.

The repair will also impact the Woodlands of Sunset Nursing Home. As a result, to mitigate the impacts, crews have scheduled the work to begin at 7 p.m. tonight.
Notifications to all affected residents and businesses (including Woodlands of Sunset) have been or are currently in the process of being completed.
