Watch your step - slippery sidewalks

A result of today's mixed bag of weather, reports of silppery sidewalks and walkways having been coming in.

The Town salts sidewalks for the treatment of ice, however, please keep in mind that it does take longer to complete due to the carrying capacity on the equipment. Rest assured, crews will be working to make your walks as safe as possible.

Treatment of sidewalks begins after the freezing rain has stopped falling, starting with sidewalks near schools, institutions, and commercial areas then spreading through residential sidewalks after.

When walking, please keep in mind that even if a path appears to be cleared, it can still be very slippery, so please use caution.
