Pelham, ON– The Town of Pelham is pleased to welcome Jason Marr as its new director of public works.

A graduate of Queen’s University and professional engineer, Marr’s professional experience spans 20-plus years across various scopes and responsibilities.

With a focus on road infrastructure and heavy civil projects, Marr spent 15 years in the construction industry. Moving into the public sector, Marr spent nearly a decade at the Niagara Region serving as a project manager, overseeing several significant bridge replacements and other major projects.

A Pelham resident, Marr is looking forward to the opportunity of working in and for his hometown.

“As a proud resident of Pelham I am looking forward to joining the team and working closely with staff, management and council to serve the residents,” said Marr. “I hope to build on my experiences from both the private and municipal sector to help lead the public works team towards achieving its goals.”

Joining the Town of Pelham from the Town of Fort Erie, where he served as the manager of the engineering division since the beginning of this year, Marr will begin his tenure in Pelham effective Oct. 29, 2018.

“We are excited for Jason to join the Pelham team,” said Darren Ottaway, chief administrative officer. “His knowledge and experience provides great value and service to the Town, as well as the projects we have underway and in our future.”
