Town of Pelham reintroducing its community guide
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 14, 2019
Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham is excited to announce the release of its new community guide on April 4, 2019.
After a several year hiatus, the guide has been reimagined and refined; a guide for the community by the community.
Focused on the narratives of the people who use Town services and programs, and showcasing events, festivals, and a sense of community, the “Life in Pelham” guide strays from the traditional publication Pelham produced.
“We’re trying something completely different than what the Town used to do in terms of a community guide,” said Marc MacDonald, public relations and marketing specialist with the Town. “We took the creative route in all aspects of the guide and we hope resonates with residents, exciting and inspiring them to get involved with programs and services in town.”
Smaller in page count and physical size than a traditional guide, the guide is a snapshot of life in Pelham. Focusing on community involvement, resident experience, and the unique aspects that make Pelham a preferred place to live, work, and play, the guide celebrates positivity and opportunity.
“We haven’t had a guide the last few years,” said Mayor Marvin Junkin. “Bringing this guide back is an action in Council’s strategic plan and we look forward to increasing the ways we communicate with our residents.”
The guide will be printed and distributed by Niagara This Week, delivered to Pelham residents on Thursday, April 4, 2019. An online version will also be made available.
The Town will produce a fall/winter guide, scheduled for distribution in September.
