Temporary Road Closures on multiple streets due to tree limbs down July 1, 2023

Notice of temporary road closures due to downed trees and tree limbs.

Please be advised of the following temporary road closures.

Where: 

• Balfour Road near #1367 Balfour
• Memorial Drive near #760 Memorial
• Baxter Lane
• Welland Road at Baxter Lane

Why: Trees and/or limbs has fallen across the roadway.

When: Saturday July 1 at approximately 4:00pm the weather system came through the area with increased wind and rain in the area of Highway #20 to Welland Road between Balfour and Maple. The roadway will reopen as soon as debris can be moved from the live traffic lanes. It is estimated that closures will be in place until 10 p.m. this evening.

What to expect: Multiple teams have been dispatched and crews are working to clear the fallen trees and limbs. Some of the limbs are on power lines and the crews are working to safely remove them.  Crews will continue limb clean up into the coming week.

Alternate Route: Please use an alternate route.
