Station Street sanitary sewer works

Work begins tomorrow to complete necessary sanitary sewer works at Station Street and Summersides Boulevard to divert flows down Summersides.

Work is expected to take approximately one week. Station Street will be reduced down to one lane during this time, and Summersides Boulevard will be closed between Station Street and Lametti Drive. Understanding that Pelham Street is currently closed between Port Robinson Road and College Street for reconstruction, the detour is on Station Street.

The reduction down to one lane may case longer than usual delays and backups, so avoiding Station Street and detouring to Rice Road is encouraged.

WHAT: Sanitary Sewer Diversion
WHY: The diversion is necessary to redirect flows down Summersides Boulevard as per the design and continued development of East Fonthill
WHEN: Wednesday, November 18th until complete. Approximately one week.
DETOUR: Please use Rice Road as the alternative to Station Street. Station Street will remain open with one lane; however, longer than usual delays are expected. Summersides Boulevard will be closed between Station Street and Klager Avenue and open to local traffic only between Rice Road and Klager Avenue.
