Project Storm Drain: help keep drains clear

Town of Pelham is reminding residents to help keep storm drains clear.

Throughout the Town, there are over 1400 storm drains. The storm drains need to be clear of debris in order to function properly. Drains that have a build-up of leaves or other debris increase the chance of flooding in the area.

Residents can help to reduce the risk of flooding by completing the following:

1. Keep leaves, organic materials and garbage out of the roadways.

2. Monitor storm drains and remove debris in advance of inclement weather.

The Town of Pelham continues to complete street sweeping to remove additional debris.
