Pelham Arena Lands Design Survey now Available

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 4, 2017

Pelham, ON – Pelham residents are being asked to engage in part two of the Pelham Arena lands Community Co-Design.

The two-day workshop component of the consultation occurred in late June, and now, having compiled the information and input from residents, the Town is ready to engage in the next phase of the process.

Working with the Planning Partnership, five explorations of options for the location and types of new residential buildings, green space, and access have been identified and require further input and review.

A public survey focusing on these areas is now available – http://placespeak.com/PelhamArenaLands

"Community consultation is important to Council and will aid Council in making an informed decision on potential re-use of the Pelham Arena lands,” said Barb Wiens, director of planning and development. “We were very pleased with the community participation during the two-day co-design sessions and look forward to engaging the community through online participation and encourage as many residents as possible to participate. Staff are also available to meet one-on-one with any member of the public should they wish. "

Residents are encouraged to note their preferences of the various components of each exploration and to provide additional comments if desired.

The results of this survey will help to identify the key attributes of each option and can be rearranged to conceive an entirely new exploration and preferred concept.

The survey will be available until August 23, 2017, and all residents are encouraged to participate.
