Pelham Street North Road Reconstruction
The Town of Pelham has received Federal Government funding for the Pelham Street North Road Reconstruction project which has been awarded to Charlton Group and set to start on August 26, 2019. There will be an Open House regarding this 2019/2020 construction project on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in the Council Chambers at Pelham Town Hall between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. This Open House will provide residents with an opportunity to review construction plans and meet with Public Works staff as well as the Consultant to address questions and/or concerns relating to this project.When: Project to start August 26, 2019 - Spring of 2020
- Where: Pelham Street North - between Broad Street and Shorthill Place, including a small section along Hurricane Road just east of Pelham Street.
- What: Installation of new storm sewers and replacement of old cast iron watermain along Pelham Street. Pelham Street in this area will also be reconstructed with new sidewalks and traffic calming measures.
- Why: To address flooding issues in the area by installing new storm sewers, replace old cast iron watermain with new watermain that meets current standards and reconstruct the road to meet current accessibility standards and address speeding issues with traffic calming measures.
