NOTICE: 2021 Development Charges Update Study and Public Meeting for proposed by-law

On Monday, February 7, 2022 the Council of the municipality of the Town of Pelham will hold a special public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. by-law and background study.  The meeting is to be held:

Zoom Webinar will be used to facilitate the special meeting on February 7, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study is being made available on the Town of Pelham website as of Wednesday December 22, 2022.  Copies of the proposed D.C. by-law and the background study are also being made available from the municipal Clerk. 

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the municipal Clerk, in the methods below:

  1. Those who wish to speak to Council live via the zoom webinar, must pre-register by emailing clerks@pelham.ca by noon on Friday, February 4, 2022.
  2. Residents unable to attend the February 7, 2022 meeting are encouraged to provide written input by e-mail, regular post, or drop box. Submissions must be received by the Town of Pelham by Wednesday January 26, 2022 in any of the following ways:
    • By email to clerks@pelham.ca 
    • By regular post to 20 Pelham Town Square, P.O. Box 400, Fonthill, ON L0S 1E0, c/o Town Clerk
    • By placing it in an envelope in the drop box located at the lower entrance to Town Hall, adjacent to Peace Park.
