Meeting notice for Monday, April 15

news and updates

On Monday, April 15, Pelham Town Council, sitting as the Policy and Priorities Committee, will receive a staff report and recommendation on the application for an amendment to the Interim Control Bylaw 4046(2018) for 770 Foss Road, Leviathan Cannabis Group. The Policy and Priorities Committee meeting starts at the adjournment of the Council meeting; a start time this meeting is unknown as it is dependent on the length of the Council meeting.

The staff report and recommendation is a result of the application’s review, part of which included information shared by the applicant and the public at the public meeting held on February 25, 2019, at the Meridian Community Centre.

With several hundred attendees at the Feb. 25 meeting, the Town recognizes the strong public interest in the application and subsequent report, recommendation, and Council discussion on the matter. As a result, the Town would like to remind residents that Council and Committee meetings may be viewed on the Town YouTube channel within 24-48 hours after the meeting. There is limited seating available in Council Chambers.

During the Policy and Priorities meeting, in accordance with the Town’s procedural bylaw, neither the applicant nor the public will have an opportunity to appear as a delegation or speak on the matter. Members of Council will discuss the report and its recommendation; staff will provide additional information if required.

The report will be part of the agenda package released Friday, April 12. You can find the agenda (when uploaded) here: http://calendar.pelham.ca/council?StartDate=04/15/2019&EndDate=04/15/2019
