Hoppin’ Easter returns to Pelham in 2021

press release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 11, 2021

Pelham, ON – Easter, like other recent Pelham events, will employ a safe, hybrid-style celebration in 2021.

Utilizing the skills and knowledge acquired by running a year’s worth of events during COVID-19, the Town’s Recreation, Culture, and Wellness department presents an Easter event combining virtual and curbside delivery that is sure to delight.

“Last year, Easter events didn’t happen due to the pandemic, so we’re thrilled we can provide something for this year,” said Leah Letford, special events and festivals programmer. “We’ve had success with our other virtual and distanced events at Christmas and Family Day, and we’re hopeful that this year’s Easter events will be just as enjoyable.”

With Easter just a few weeks away, now is the time for Pelham residents to review the events scheduled – some requiring pre-registration – and join in the fun.

Highlights for this year’s event include:

  • Live Virtual interactive Magic show (on Zoom): includes a downloadable magic kit that kids can print to learn a trick as part of the show
  • An Easter scavenger hunt, filled with family-friendly missions, facilitated by the hybrid app, GooseChase
  • Hoppin’ by Bunny: a contactless curbside delivery from the Easter Bunny, with the opportunity for a physically-distanced photo op
  • Creative colouring contest

Participants can find further information and registration forms for all the Easter events and activities at www.pelham.ca/easter.
