Holiday waste pick up - what you need to know
Make a note on your calendar for any waste collection deferrals that may occur in your area. The Niagara Region has outline their waste collection shcedule with deferral days due to the holiday. Garbage, Recycling and Organics Collection
Garbage, Blue Box, Grey Box and Green Bin collection will be deferred by one day in the week following Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Holiday Garbage Exemptions
In the week following Christmas (Dec. 26, 27, 28, 29, 31), households can place one extra bag or can of garbage out without a garbage tag on their regular collection day.
Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas tree collection is on your regular collection day during the week of Jan. 7-11, 2019.
Trees must be at the curb by 7 a.m. with all ornaments and decorations removed. Trees wrapped in plastic or buried in snow will not be collected. No artificial trees.
