Family Day Adventure in Pelham offers residents FREE family fun
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 15, 2022
Pelham, ON – The Pelham Family Day Adventure brings free family activities to Pelham residents in two ways this year. The virtual scavenger hunt first introduced in 2021 returns again this year and accompanies the traditional in-person event hosted at the Meridian Community Centre on February 21, 2022.
"Family Day in Pelham is a great way for the community to enjoy a free day of fun. Families can choose either the activities at the Meridian Community Centre or join in all weekend long with fun challenges on GooseChase. Both options provide families fun ways to spend time together," said Town of Pelham, Culture and Community Enhancement Programmer Stephanie Yole.
On Monday, February 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., residents can participate in free family events hosted at the Meridian Community Centre in Pelham. Activities include drop-in family gym time, learn to play pickleball clinic, magic shows with Scoop McCoy and two free family skates. The Rotary Club of Fonthill is sponsoring the 1:15 p.m. skate and will be onsite accepting donations for the Food4Kids fundraiser. Outdoor activities, including a snowshoe obstacle course and snow creature creations, will also be available outdoors and are weather-dependent.
Starting on Friday, February 18, at 8:00 a.m., the virtual Family Day Adventure Scavenger Hunt begins with support from Niagara Economic Development. The virtual game is played on the GooseChase app, available for free download from the Apple Store or Google Play. To participate, residents log in to GooseChase and search game code GDPP9Q. Family-inspired missions will be released during the game, and participants can submit video, photo or text answers to climb the virtual leaderboard. All participants who complete at least one mission will be entered for a chance to win Pelham Prize Packs, including Pelham Bucks.
