Another season at the Pelham Pool comes to a close
Another swim season at the Pelham pool comes to a close on September 1.
Here’s a quick recap on the swim season that was(*).
- Over 700 individuals and 83 families enjoyed the facility, despite a cooler and wetter season than last year. Public swims were offered weekdays 6-8 p.m. and on weekends 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
- Sunday’s in July commemorated Canada’s 150th, offering the chance to splash, play, and cool down for only $1.50.
- Swim lessons – four sets of two-week group lessons – were held in July and August and welcomed 400 registrants. In addition, 80 participants took advantage of private and semi-private lessons.
- The aquatics staff welcomed 30 grade 3 students from A.K. Wigg School for a ‘Swim to Survive’ program before school ended in June. The program was sponsored by the Lifesaving Society.
