2018-PW-06 Station Street Watermain Replacement

Project Duration: October 29^th, 2018 to December 7th, 2018, weather dependent

Project Locations: Station Street, between Highway 20 and Pelham Town Square

Project Description: Contractors will be working on the above street to complete the replacement of the existing watermain. This work will entail the open trench excavation and installation of a new PVC watermain, compaction of back fill material, and surface restoration. During the watermain commissioning process, residents will see water discharging from the new watermain and water services as the new main is tested prior to connection. Local residents will also experience periodic water shutdowns to facilitation the final connection to the existing municipal system and connection of the water services to the new main. Notification will be provided to the affected residents prior to any shut down. It should be noted that due to the nature of the work and current state of the existing watermain there may be unexpected shutdowns that are require which do not allow for advanced notifications. The Town asks that residents remain patient and all efforts will be made to re-establish service as quick as possible. During construction Station Street between Highway 20 and Pelham Town Square will be closed to all through traffic and only local access will be permitted.
